Examinations before starting therapy
Before starting bioidentical hormone therapy, Dr. Andreas Bernhardt will carry out tests on you. We will repeat the blood tests to a lesser extent at regular intervals in order to optimally monitor the course of therapy.
Actual status in the blood
Dr. Andreas Bernhardt determines a detailed actual status in the blood with regard to all relevant hormones, minerals, metabolic and mitochondrial values as well as vitamins.
Medical history
A thorough individual anamnesis (your medical history, your medication list incl. standardized questionnaire on the menopause woman/man).
Individual therapy plan
Based on your results, Dr. Bernhardt will create your individual therapy plan for bioidentical hormone therapy.
In addition, you will receive lifestyle advice with recommendations on suitable sport and relaxation training and, if necessary, the substitution of suitable vital substances and antioxidants.
Production of your recipe
The hormone prescription prepared for you is a so-called extemporaneous prescription and is sent to a specialized (compound) pharmacy following the doctor's consultation. This pharmacy has a special license from the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and has many years of experience in the production of individual formulations for bioidentical hormone therapy.
