It is about not only living longer, but also maximizing the quality of those extra years. Longevity thus encompasses various aspects of a full and vital life and is certainly not looking for the miracle drug that will eliminate all ailments.

Longevity views health as an interplay between body, mind and soul. It is about actively taking responsibility for your own well-being and making conscious decisions that promote a long and healthy life. And this is exactly where I want to help you and explain and convey key elements of longevity and provide you with further interesting information in various articles.

The key factors

Movement is the first elixir of life. Regular physical activity - everyone according to their abilities - not only strengthens the body, but also promotes mental health. Even moderate exercise, such as a daily walk, can extend life expectancy by several years.

The next ingredient is a positive attitude to life. Optimism and a positive mindset can actually contribute to a longer life. Studies show that optimistic people can live up to 15% longer than their pessimistic peers.

In addition Another factor, that social relationships and a sense of belonging are crucial for a long and fulfilling life. Regular social activities can increase life expectancy and reduce the risk of age-related illnesses.

Longevity also means filling every day with joy and meaning. It's about maintaining a passion for life, having new experiences and continuously learning. An active lifestyle that includes hobbies, lifelong learning and meaningful activities contributes significantly to longevity. In short: Enjoyment of life and meaningfulness of one's own actions are the 3rd key factor in longevity.

Cultivating healthy lifestyle habits

And the last point concerns the cultivation of healthy lifestyle habits in line with the new health culture that I (and other specialists worldwide) propagate. This means developing and maintaining healthy habits. These include a species-appropriate diet geared to your own metabolism, supplementation of missing micronutrients, sufficient sleep, stress management and the renunciation of harmful habits such as smoking, drug use or lack of exercise. All of these are important building blocks for a long and healthy life.

Conclusion: In summary, longevity is a positive and proactive approach to ageing. It is about enjoying life to the fullest, but in moderation, while at the same time taking conscious steps to stay healthy and vital. Longevity is therefore not just a goal, but a way of life that can lead to a full and long life.

About Dr. med.
